⚠️ Microsoft Office — works differently on Burst+.
Microsoft Office doesn't run natively, but LibreOffice is included free and opens all Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files. Microsoft 365 also works fully in any browser. If you just need to view and edit Office files, you'll be fine.

⚠️ Games — many work, not all.
Many Steam games run on Linux via Proton. However, games with aggressive anti-cheat (Valorant, some EA titles) won't work. Check your specific games at protondb.com before purchasing.
⛔ Microsoft Surface — not compatible.
All Surface models use locked firmware that prevents Linux installation. We cannot accept Surface devices. Sorry.
⛔ Windows tablet / 2-in-1 — not compatible.
Tablet-style devices with detachable keyboards typically use locked firmware and soldered storage. These are not suitable for Burst+.

Chromebooks use locked bootloaders and are not suitable for Burst+ installation.
⛔ iPad / Android tablet — not compatible.
Burst+ is a laptop service only. iOS and Android tablets are not supported.
⛔ 2GB RAM — below minimum.
Burst+ requires at least 4GB RAM to run comfortably. 2GB is below our minimum. If you can upgrade the RAM (some laptops allow this), contact us to discuss.
⛔ eMMC storage — not suitable.
eMMC storage is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be replaced. Burst+ installation may not be possible. Contact us with your exact model and we'll check.
⛔ Incompatible software dependency.
Adobe Creative Cloud, Sage, AutoCAD, and most specialist work software are Windows-only and won't run on Burst+. If this software is essential to your work, Burst+ isn't the right fit right now. You're welcome to contact us to discuss alternatives.
